This issue of the Kennel Gazette has a particularly sombre note because the show was the first to be held after the declaration of war, and many judges and exhibitors were unable to attend. The black-out had already started, and anybody who was able to make the journey had to contend with driving at night with no lights.
October 1935 - Kennel Club Show held at Crystal Palace on October 9th and 10th.
December 1935 - Metropolitan & Essex Canine Society show held at Crystal Palace on November 7th 1935.
Many of the winners at this show have their photos under the October 1935 heading for the Kennel Club Show. Winners for whom no photos are currently available include Minor of Morven and Guelder Pips (I wonder if this should read Guelder Peps).
March 1936 - Cruft's Great International Dog Show held at the Royal Agricultural Hall, Islington, on February 12th and 13th 1936. (139 Keeshond entries)
Again photos of some of the dogs mentioned are shown with previous critiques. Among winners for whom no photos are available are Roderick van Zaandam, Forsyte Hanzel, Sterndale Solomon, Knight and Karlo of Canford and Speedy of the Peaklands.
July 1936 - Taunton Show held at the Vivary Park on June 18th 1936
I have been unable to trace photos of Dochfour Edric, Cindoc Dinah and Guelder Cinders, all of whom receive good reports from Mrs. Norton.

During the twelve months to September 1935 267 Keeshonds were registered. To June 1936 the total was 278, and to August 1939 the total was 182.
If anyone happens to have a photo of a dog mentioned in these critiques that isn't already on the site I would be very grateful for a copy that I may use.
